Description
This virtual walk will going on from October 29th through November 1st.
The Tri-Cities Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition (YSPC) is a prevention education program that is focused on reducing suicidal behaviors among the youth of Washington state. We work towards that goal by raising public awareness, facilitating training and supporting communities in taking action. This year the YSPC, Richland High School, and Hanford High School have teamed up for a common cause and that is to raise awareness and understanding on suicide and remember the lives lost due to suicide.
Join us for our first ever virtual walk or run (whichever you decide). Use the hashtag #TakingStridesTC on Facebook with pictures of your walk around your neighborhood, on the treadmill, or anywhere you decide to take this challenge.
It is FREE to register for this event. The YSPC is accepting donations which will be used to help put on future walks and suicide prevention/awareness events.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR: We will be handing out a FREE goodie bag on Wednesday (10/28) from 4-7 PM at the following address: 8697 W Gage Blvd, Kennewick, WA 99336
Each day of the walk has a theme. Snap a picture and use the hashtag #TakingStridesTC and post it on Facebook and any other social media platforms.
