Land protection is at the heart of Groundswell’s work. With support from landowners, communities, and partner organizations, Groundswell:

Since 1983, Groundswell has protected more than 16,000 acres in Dane County and surrounding counties.
Additionally, Groundswell staff and volunteers care for two nature preserves that are open to everyone: Westport Prairie in Waunakee and Patrick Marsh in Sun Prairie.
