UWSP DPT Student Organization
In 2022, the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point officially added the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program, which became the most northern physical therapy program in the state of Wisconsin. The UWSP DPT Student Organization is ran by DPT students within the program. We are seeking to form lasting and meaningful partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and communities of central Wisconsin through collaboration, service, and public events. If you have interest in becoming a student organization or event sponsor, email us at doctor.of.physical.therapy.students@uwsp.edu. Donations are accepted online and at the event. Proceeds from the event will be donated toward the Marquette Challenge to help raise money for physical therapy research, with the hopes of advancing the ability of physical therapists nationwide to better assist those in need. The VCU-Marquette Challenge is a national competition in which physical therapy students compete to raise funds for the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR). The UWSP DPT Student Organization received the Most Successful PT Newcomer Award in the 2023-2024 VCU–Marquette Challenge! Additional proceeds will help our students seek professional development and service opportunities locally and nationwide.
