In 2022, the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Commission adopted a barrier-free scholarship program to help Sun Prairie families participate in recreational activities. The application process is quick, easy, and accessible, resulting in significant increases in program participation over the past three years.
In 2026, the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department will provide $10,000 in subsidies to support this program, offering up to $100 per family each calendar year for recreation programs. Additionally, SPPRF offers discounted season passes to the Sun Prairie Family Aquatic Center (FAC).
The Community Advocate sponsorship helps support subsidies for recreation programs and the FAC Season Pass sponsorship helps support discounted season passes.
