This year, the Clay Center is proud to partner with Shoes That Fit, an organization tackling one of the most visible signs of poverty in America by giving kids in need brand new athletic shoes, so they can attend school with dignity and joy. Through our partnership, Shoes That Fit will work with local schools to identify those in need. The Clay Center knows that confidence impacts learning – and we want to help kids improve their self-esteem and participation at school by eliminating one of poverty’s most visible and debilitating marks.
Runners, sponsors and supporters of the cause have the option to donate shoes at $25/pair. And, thanks to a matching gift, all donations up to $25,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
With your help, up to 2,000 West Virginia schoolchildren could receive new shoes this year!
