The 24th annual Shamrock 5k Fun Run and Walk is a community event created to promote physical fitness among families and to enhance community engagement, pride and spirit during the weekend of the City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The event will begin at the City of Dublin’s Civic Center on Dublin Blvd. at 8:30 am on Sunday, March 17, 2024. The fun run route will be as follows: West on Dublin Blvd, turn right onto Village Pkwy and head north, turn right onto Amador Valley Blvd and head east, turn right onto York Dr. which will turn into Penn Dr, turn right onto Amador Valley Blvd and head east. The run will continue down Amador Valley Blvd past the first entrance to the Iron Horse Trail and over the crest of the hill, the run will join the trail system close to the bottom of the hill and head southwest until the trail reaches the Iron Horse Trail. It will continue past the Iron Horse Trail to the Alamo Canal Trail and head south toward the Dublin Library, the race will lead down the trail behind the Dublin Library and finish within the back-parking lot.
