Talladega 21000 Half Marathon and 5K Volunteers

Packet stuffing will take place in the Birmingham Events Office Warehouse, 1911 27th Ave., South, Homewood.

Assist with stuffing items into the 2300 runner's race bags. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be standing most of the time.

Assist the race staff at the Superspeedway on Saturday before the event with set up including filling up coolers, icing down drinks, setting up tables/chairs and more.

This job will take place in the Pit Garage on infield of Talladega Superspeedway. (Must be 21 years of age and older.)

You will assist our staff with registering participants for the half marathon on race morning. Participants must fill out their entry forms and pay a registration fee. Race t-shirts and race packets will also be given to each registrant.

Volunteers will distribute fluids, fruit and gel to runners from various water stations. You must be assertive, but remain out of the runner's path. Assistance will also be needed for set up, clean up and break down.
There are eight water stations located on the course. We will place volunteers at stations two weeks before the event. Time shifts will also vary depending on the location of the station. If you sign up for this job, please let me know if you have any time requests before I begin placing volunteers. I will contact you when you are placed at a station.

This job takes place at the Finish Line on The Talladega Superspeedway (must be 18 years or older for this position) Easy job, does not require technical skills

Assist timing team with back up timing that includes making notes about the participants with corresponding race numbers with finish times. This assists our timers to ensure accurate results.
Requires complete attention to participants crossing the finish line, but is a lot of fun as you see everyone cross the finish line in all their glory.

This job takes place at the finish line on the Talladega Superspeedway.

Finish line duties include assisting timing staff, preparing fruit and fluids for runners, distribution of medals and heat blankets and other jobs that may arise.

This job takes place in the Pit Garage on the infield of Talladega Superspeedway. (Must be 21 years or older for this position.)

Duties will include monitoring the food areas, assisting food servers, busing tables, keeping area clean and other jobs needed by coordinator. This is a fun place to work as the party will be in full swing with lots of Jim 'n Nick's Bar-B-Q, music and entertainment.
