First Shift

Race starts at 7am, and we're about mile 2 (outbound). We'll start to see runners about 7:15 or thereabouts, and they're still bunched up so we're really busy for about 20-30 minutes, after which we'll pick up trash, sort the clothing drops, and get ready for the inbound runners on their return.

Second Shift

Race starts at 7am, and we're about mile 17 (inbound). The front runner will probably get back to us by 9am, and after that it's just a steady but slow stream of runners as they make their way back. The sweep comes thru about 11am, so we're pretty much done at that point, except for cleaning up and packing everything away.

Stupid Dark 30 (for the early starters)

Early start is at 5am, and we'll start seeing those folks about 5:25 am or thereabouts. I try to be there with some hot coffee and hot chocolate as it can be really cold, dark and windy on the river at that hour. Don't need a lot of folks at this time but company is very welcome :-D
