## Unity 5K Trail Information
Join us for the White Mountain Community Center’s Unity 5K at beautiful Woodland Lake Park in Lakeside!
### Race Day Details
**Meeting Location:** Ramada #5 at Woodland Lake Park
**Race Start Time:** 11:00 a.m.
**Start and Finish:** Near Ramada #5 and the Woodland Lake boat-dock area
Participants should arrive early enough to gather at Ramada #5, receive race-day instructions, and prepare for the 11:00 a.m. start.
### About the Course
The Unity 5K follows an approximately 3.1-mile, continuous clockwise loop through the natural trail system surrounding Woodland Lake Park. The course does not include the paved loop around the lake.
Runners and walkers will follow one clearly marked route through portions of the Woodland, Meadowlark, Hitching Post, and Turkey Track trail areas before returning to the start and finish near Ramada #5.
The course is designed to be simple to follow, with no figure-eight crossings and no repeated trail sections. Directional signs, course markers, and volunteers will help guide participants at important trail junctions.
### Trail Conditions
This is a natural-surface trail course through the beautiful ponderosa pine forest. Participants should be prepared for:
* Dirt and uneven trail surfaces
* Exposed roots, rocks, and occasional loose soil
* Gentle elevation changes
* Narrow sections of trail
* Wildlife and changing weather conditions
Please wear appropriate walking or running shoes, watch your footing, remain on the marked course, and follow all instructions from race volunteers.
This event welcomes both runners and walkers. Participants of all experience levels are encouraged to move at a safe, comfortable pace and enjoy the scenery.
### After the Race
When you cross the finish line, return to Ramada #5 for hot dogs, cold water, and a chance to celebrate with fellow participants and community members.
The Unity 5K is about more than reaching the finish line. It is an opportunity to come together, enjoy the beauty of the White Mountains, and show that our community is stronger when everyone is welcomed and supported.
