By registering for the Tanganyika Lakeside Marathon, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Event Overview
The Tanganyika Lakeside Marathon is a curated 5-day marathon experience taking place in Burundi, based in Bujumbura.
Event Dates:
• Arrival: June 12
• Marathon: June 14
• Departure: June 16
Participation includes accommodation, race entry, transfers, tours, and related services as outlined in the official package.
Entries are limited and subject to availability.
2. Pricing & Payment Terms
Package Rates:
• Single Occupancy: USD 1,850
• Shared Occupancy: USD 1,600 per person
To secure your place:
USD 100 non refundable fee is paid at registration
• A 30% non-refundable deposit is required within one week of registration
• 40% of the balance is due 60 days prior to the event.
• The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event.
Note that the initial USD 100 paid at registration is part of the total package fees
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of the first 30% deposit.
Failure to complete payments by the stated deadlines may result in cancellation of your registration and forfeiture of payments made.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Due to advance commitments for accommodation, permits, logistics, and race operations:
• The registration deposit is non-refundable.
• Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the event may receive a partial refund (excluding the deposit).
• Cancellations made within 60 days of the event are non-refundable.
• No refunds will be issued for no-shows, unused services, or early departures.
Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance.
