Kiwanis El Segundo PTA Run for Education 5K|10K

As one of the more unique courses in Southern California, the Run for Education features a moderate coastal climate and a tour of El Segundo neighborhoods and schools. The 5K Run/Walk is an easy-to-moderate hill course through local neighborhoods.

As one of the more unique courses in Southern California, the Run for Education features a moderate coastal climate and a tour of El Segundo neighborhoods and schools. The 10K Run is a moderate-to-challenging hill course through local neighborhoods that follows the 5K course twice with a slight modification to the 2nd loop.

This untimed run, is geared for children 2-5 years old.
The 1/2K Kids Run will start at the corner of Main St and Mariposa Ave south of Library Park and then run west on Mariposa Ave, turn right on Richmond St, turn right on Palm Ave, then right on Main Street—essentially one lap around Library Park.
Each runner will receive an official race shirt & bib, and finishers’ medal (while supplies last).
Children 10 and under who compete in the 5K may also compete in the age appropriate Kids Run at no additional cost, however, they will not receive a second Kids Run finishers medal.
Although this race is intended for kids, parents are welcome to run with their children (no additional registration is needed by the parent).

The 1K Kids Run will start at the corner of Main St and Mariposa Ave south of Library Park and is a two loop race. Runners begin on Main and Mariposa then run west on Mariposa Ave, turn right on Richmond St, turn right on Palm Ave, then right on Main Street, and then repeat the loop a second time — essentially two laps around Library Park.
Each runner will receive an official race shirt & bib, and finishers’ medal (while supplies last).
Children 10 and under who compete in the 5K may also compete in the age appropriate Kids Run at no additional cost, however, they will not receive a second Kids Run finishers medal.
