Play It Forward Virtual 5K

We are sorry to announce that the 2020 Play It Forward 5K has been cancelled. With the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing and the City of Los Angeles not allowing events for the foreseeable future, we have made the decision to turn our focus to the 2021 event. Play It Forward has continued to do our best to support kids being active even if COVID-19 has meant school closures. We partnered with A Place Called Home, North Valley Caring Center and Casa Esperanza, all wonderful non-profits providing essential services in this time of great need, to make sure kids knew Play It Forward was still there for them. With the help of these wonderful partners, we distributed jump ropes for the kids to use at home in their weekly food delivery packages. So far, we’ve been able to get jump ropes to over 3,000 families. This time at home is important for the health of our community. We will continue to work hard to find creative ways to get equipment to the students who need it most. And then, once kids are back in school, we’ll be there to support their physical education needs and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle.
