If you are there on Thurs. morning: please help photograph people's legs for the Mr. & Ms. Drumstick contest. NOTE: just one person per photo (and no faces, just legs and bib). Each winner will get $250 for their favorite charity, school, or place of worship. The photographer will capture long legs, skinny and larger, sexy and not-so-sexy, short legs, young and old legs, hairy and smooth legs, sockless and sock-extreme legs -- all kinds! Each photo will show legs and bib number only, and no faces. We'll upload them to an album on Justin Rudd's Facebook and winners will be chosen by the most likes within a few days’ time. Can you commit to taking some photos of the best legs at the Trot? Each person photographed must be registered. Only one person in each photo, for this assignment. We welcome other candid photos from the Trot, too. Please send your images to Justin@JustinRudd.com via Dropbox within 12 hours of the Trot. Help to recruit runners and walkers to take a turn tossing the rubber chicken. Volunteers will help record the distances of each toss, and determine the winning distance at the end of the day. Volunteers also needed to wear the yellow chicken costume that we will provide. The main volunteer here will need to come to the starting/registration area at 1 Granada Ave. to pick up your 2-way radio on Wed. from 3-7 p.m. or 6-6:30 a.m. on Thurs. You'll be in communication with the start line. You'll make sure that runners are safely crossing the pier, and not colliding with bikers/boarders/skates. You'll also alert the finish line with your 2-way radio when the first male and female runners pass you and are approaching the finish line for the 7, 8:30 and 10 a.m. starts, and give a simple description of those runners (i.e. first place Hispanic male, bib #456, red hat, dark blue shirt, yellow running shorts, just crossed the pier headed to the finish line). And, very important to include the bib number. These volunteers will help load up t-shirt boxes, pop-up tents, banners, starting at 11 a.m. You'll take direction from Brad Miyasato who heads up the registration/t-shirt area. Some things can begin being packed up as soon as the 10 a.m. race has started. Other items, like the refreshments area and banners, have to wait to be taken down after the final runner/walker crosses the finish line about 11:10 a.m. Also appreciated, if these volunteers can help pick up any trash in the start area, vendor area, and in the parking lots.
