Mt. Shasta 5 Mile

This is the most popular event of the morning. Have you ever strolled two miles while gaining weight and listening to over three dozen talented performers? This walk is a parade in reverse. Be prepared for gourmet snacks, jazz choirs, country music bands, individual singers & classical instrumentalists, clowns, magicians, church choirs and belly dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts on the ground and surprises in the sky.



Wear comfortable shoes and your wildflower t-shirt and participate in the largest small town walk in America! Please invite and register a new guest. The course begins downtown, goes past Mercy Hospital and back. The age divisions are: all ages.

The two-mile youth race is designed for the younger generation who wish to race less than the longer five miles. This is a great opportunity to introduce children to running and to promote physical fitness to our youth. The parents can join in, but don't cross the finish line with the racer. Giant ribbons will be given for various age divisions. All registered children are eligible for the drawings. The age divisions are: 5 & under, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18. Medals will be given to all Youth finishers.

The age divisions are: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+, in both male and female categories.
