Trail Work Series - Event #1 Rose Valley Campground

Trail Work Series Event #1 will focus on doing needed maintenance on the Rose / Lion Trail. Work will include making the trail visibly easy to follow, clearing gravel and cobbles off the trail, and trimming overgrown brush.

Join us after the trail work for a trail run or hike! The route will be provided in the Runners for Public Land Ventura Strava Club Page.

Trail work refreshments will be provided as well as some RPL and C2M swag!

Recommended items for trail work:
- Long sleeves and pants
- Hat
- Sunglasses/Eye protection
- Work gloves (if you have them)
- Helmet (such as a bike helmet or climbing helmet (if you have one)
- Sunscreen
- Water
- Personal snacks (especially if you have food sensitivities)
- Pack Layers as it will be sold in the morning.

*Note: This trail work project is approved and permitted under the volunteer service agreement between the USFS, the Los Padres Forest Association, and Runners for Public Lands. The USFS may require that we change the location or cancel this event for any reason, especially if weather or hazardous conditions exist. Trail Work Series - Event #4 Horn Canyon Trailhead (near Thacher School)

Trail Work Series Event #4 will focus on doing needed brush maintenance on the notoriously overgrown Horn Canyon Trail to ensure it is ready for Coyote 2 Moon Trail Races. Work will include trimming overgrown brush so the trail is visibly easy to follow.
