Derby’s B.E.S.T. 5k Run – Mile Walk is a community-based event held in Derby, CT. It is hosted by the Derby Campus of Walnut Hill Community Church to Better Empower the Students and Teachers in the Derby Connecticut Public Schools in their pursuit of educational excellence.
Derby Connecticut is a community that struggles to meet the educational needs of its students, which means often initiatives that would enrich, enhance or improve the educational experience in pursuit of excellence go unfunded.
The net proceeds from Derby’s B.E.S.T. 5k Run – Mile Walk will be used to fund initiatives, submitted by teachers or administrators, that enhance, enrich or improve the educational experience for students in the Derby Public Schools in pursuit of educational excellence.
