The Benny Fund 5K & Kids Fun Run

Please arrive at Sears Park between 7:30-8:30 AM to pick up your bib and shirt. Participants will be shuttled to the start line. The race will end at Sears Park. The 5K runners and walkers will start at 9:00am. Sign-up online before September 01, 2023 to secure a free race t-shirt. We will try to ensure all runners are given a shirt, but cannot make guarantees after that date.

The 5k runners will run around a portion of Lake Pocotopaug and finish at Sears Park. The full course map is posted on this site (subject to change). Please feel free to run or walk the 5k with your kids (0-5yrs are free). There will also be a kid's fun run directly after the 5k finishes.

The kids fun run will occur just after 5K runners and walkers cross the finish line (est. 10:15am). We will split the races by age group and will give out prizes. Each child that is registered will receive a Benny's Run t-shirt and prize! The races will vary by age group. We welcome toddlers for a short 50 yard dash. The distances will gradually increase based on age and participation. The Fun Run will be held on a soft surface!
