Event: Forgotten Forest 9 Hour Ultra Run

Neatly nestled away, Roosevelt Forest will be brought to life with the running of the second Forgotten Forest Ultra Run
The Ultra run will last 9 hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. All Racers, Runners, Joggers, Hikers and Walkers are invited to participate in this very friendly event. Do as many miles or hours, as you wish. Experience on a trail is mandatory for safety, so a little practice is warranted. There will be an award for first, second and third overall and first male and female in the category of senior/master or 55 years of age and older (may adjust woman to 50+) with most miles completed. Also, an Ultra Medal for anyone participating for 4 or more hours. You will travel over a single and double track trail with a little elevation on a double loop of 3.5 and 2.7 miles; a completed course loop is then 6.2 or a 10K. The loops will be well marked with signs and white and pink flags; no getting lost! There will be a few out and backs of which you will pass each other, over the hours, and cheer each other on! Still it is, also a great 100 mile training run. Dunkin' Donuts bagels, donuts to start and coffee all day with pizza at 1 PM. Amped Fuel/Hydration and Gu gels, hourly. You must be at least 18 years of age. A charitable portion of this race will go to the Roosevelt Forest Trail Commission and the Stratford EMS. A very important thing to note is, this is limited to only 50 participants, so register early and save money and reserve your spot for a day in the Forgotten Forest ! Registration is non-refundable because of cost endured, it will then be considered a donation. Race, Run, Jog, Hike or Walk, you have up to 9 hours to do YOUR BEST (you have the option of less miles and hours, also).
