The 5K course begins and ends at approx. the 1-mile trail marker on the C&O Canal towpath in Georgetown, which is underneath Key Bridge. Easy access is via the end of 34th Street, NW near the Francis Scott Key Park. This 5K course is a flat, dirt and pebble path, which runs alongside the historic C&O Canal. Runners/walkers will reverse direction on the course at the 2.5K mark.
