John Schultz Memorial Trail Triple Crown

Kicking off the John Schultz Memorial Trail Triple Crown will be the 5K. The course will run part of the high school cross-country course, mostly wide, grass trail. For this event the course will be run backwards from the typical route, just because, and with a special twist at the end! All Triple Crown will start with the 5K.

The 10K will start promptly at 8:30AM, one hour after the 5K start. If you are competing solo in The Triple Crown category and are still on the 5K course when the 10K starts, once you cross the finish for the 5K you will begin the 10K at your ready (realizing that all courses need be cleared at 1PM.

The 10K will start on the same cross country 5k course, but then turn into single track for most of the race. You'll get to explore some of the beauty of the WCC forests on this 6.2 mile adventure.

The anchor of the Triple Crown, the trail half marathon. You'll venture from the security of the WCC Pavillion and explore some of the most beautiful trails in Delaware! You're going to get a taste of all trail running has to offer; single track trails, ups, downs, rocks, roots, water crossings, and wide open fields. All runners have a 3-hour time limit to complete this course. After 1PM the volunteers/aid stations pack up, the police leave and you'll be left on your own out in the wilderness.

You're just that awesome! The solo JSMTTC runner is doing it all, 5K, 10K, and half marathon, 22.4 miles total! It's not just about proving it to yourself, but so you can let all your social media friends know they are nowhere near your level of physical prowess.

You will be scored in the Triple Crown category and by your place in each event, not time.
