Ready to put your speed to the test? The Elite category is intended for expert and pro-level riders looking for the most competitive Crank Fest experience.

Riders will take on approximately 11 miles divided into three individually timed segments, including approximately two miles of advanced trail with no bail-outs. Expect a fast, competitive field and some of the most challenging terrain Caloosahatchee Regional Park has to offer.

Class 1 eMTB

Ready to put the boost to work? This category is designed for experienced riders looking to take on the full Caloosa Crank Fest course with pedal assist.

Riders will take on approximately 11 miles divided into three individually timed segments, including approximately two miles of advanced trail with no bail-outs. Riders should be comfortable navigating intermediate to advanced terrain at race pace.

Class 1 Requirements: eMTBs must operate in a Class 1 configuration, with pedal assistance ending at 20 mph. Class 1/Class 3 capable bikes are permitted when configured as Class 1. Chipped, derestricted, jailbroken, or otherwise modified bikes exceeding the 20 mph assist limit are not permitted.

Podium Eligibility: Complete GPS data for all timed segments, recorded with a wheel-speed sensor, must be provided for verification to qualify for podium placement.

Sport

Looking for a challenge without jumping into the Elite field? Sport is intended for experienced intermediate to advanced riders who are comfortable riding technical terrain at race pace.

Riders will take on approximately 11 miles divided into three individually timed segments, including approximately two miles of advanced trail with no bail-outs.

Novice

New to racing or looking for a more approachable Crank Fest experience? Novice is intended for beginner-level riders and those getting their first taste of mountain bike racing.

Riders will take on approximately 9 miles divided into two individually timed segments. The Novice course excludes the advanced trail section included in the other competitive categories.

Casual Crank

Want to experience Caloosa Crank Fest without racing the clock? The Casual Crank is an untimed, non-competitive option for riders who want to take on the course at their own pace and enjoy the event without the pressure of racing.

Casual Crank riders will head out after the competitive categories have finished. No timing, no podiums, no pressure — just a chance to ride the course, challenge yourself, and be part of the Crank Fest experience.
