Event: 100-Mile Run
There is no fee to enter the race.
Anyone can request an Invitation to Run. There are no requirements for entry.
There is nothing that will give you a preference for gaining entry into the race, with one exception - people who volunteer at AO100 will earn a guaranteed entry into a future race.
The race consists of completing 29 loops of a 3.46-mile course for 100.3 miles within the allotted time of 32 hours. There are NO other finishing options. You either complete 29 loops or you are listed as a DNF.
There is no belt buckle for finishing AO100, but all finishers will receive a hand-made award of some sort, yet to be determined. If you want a belt buckle for finishing the 100-mile race, then you should enter one of the more than 150 other 100-mile races that offer belt buckles for finishing.
There will be little aid offered - the only thing you should expect at the aid station is water. There may be a variety of items at the aid station, but you should not expect anything beyond water. If you really need that fair-trade, free-range, no-kill soy latte with almond butter whip at the race, then you should plan on bringing it yourself.
