Brownwood Virtual Bike Rally 2020

How many miles can you and your team ride? This event is geared toward those who want to go far and fast and take their place on the leaderboard seriously! For this event, we will require participants to submit documentation of their rides for review in addition to logging their miles over the course of the event. In addition to logging miles within this platform to keep the leaderboard updated, we will create a Brownwood Virtual Bike Rally Club within Strava, and we will ask participants to log their activities within that system as well (including screenshots where necessary to confirm time & distance). All participants will receive information necessary to join the Club and log within this application closer to the event start date. Given the emphasis on competitive cycling and parity, we also require miles logged for this event to be completed on a bicycle rather than a stationary bike, bikeerg, or trainer.  Make no mistake about it, there will still be plenty of opportunities to raise fun and funds along the way - even at a blistering pace!

How many miles can you and your team ride? During this 17-day challenge, participants will hop on their bikes, trikes, trainers, bike-ergs, stationary bikes, or penny-farthings (surely, there is at least one in East Atlanta) and log as many miles as possible as individuals or cycling teams. The goal is to ride as far as possible and raise funds by sharing your experience throughout this rally. In this way, we can encourage physical activity and fitness during this challenging year and raise critical funds to support the ongoing work of East Atlanta Kids Club that keeps our kids & teens well, physically and scholastically. Through riding for fun and raising funds, we can build resilience for our youth!

Our Kids and Teens will rally around one another to log as many miles as they can with your support. Building upon the safe cycling lessons from Summer Camp and after school, our kids and teens will take to streets and paths around town to push each other to log miles and share smiles :)
