The Race 2023 Community Impact Service Day

Location: Westside Cultural Arts Center - 760 10th St. NW, Atlanta 30318 - Street Parking on 10th, Brady, and 11th. Small lot adjacent to WCAC.

The Race 2023 Community Impact Service Day presents a FREE Community running/walking clinic. In partnership with Back on My Feet Atlanta. Certified Running Coaches will lead the clinic discussions. Runners and Walkers of all levels are welcome to attend the clinic to learn and expand their knowledge and passion for the activity.

Project Description: Join us as we work together to beautify one of the Historic communities along The Race route.

Location: 1173 Fenwood Street SW, Atlanta, GA

Project Description: Please come prepared to get your hands dirty as we work together to build a homestead garden.

Location: We are meeting across the street from 225 Central Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. If you get lost, look for the two black buses.

Project Description: Provide aid to people experiencing, transitioning from, or at risk of homelessness. We'll be supporting the 'Showers in the City' project and packing hygiene kits.

Project Description: Activities include pantry clean-up and prep, organizing items, and packing care kits.

Location: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta @ 680 Murphy Ave SW, Suite 1090, Atlanta, GA 30310 (enter The Met complex off Murphy Avenue SW, across the tracks from the West End MARTA Station)

Project Description: Volunteers will be working in community to assemble gift bags for our child mentees (“Littles”) and their adult mentors (“Bigs”) that will later be gifted at our annual fall picnic. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. All necessary materials will be provided for the activity. Light refreshment will be available.

Project Description: Pack and prepare care packages for families impacted by breast cancer.

Location: Pick up for Tour at 8:15 am at Marriott Suites, Midtown - 35 14th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309. Tour will Depart at 8:30am.

Historic Atlanta Bus Tour Time 8:30-11:30am

Tour Bus will drop at Monday Night Brewing Co West Midtown at 670 Trabert Ave, 30318 and back at Marriott Suites, Midtown - 35 14th St NE, 30309

Back on My Feet Atlanta is proud to host an educational forum for beginning runners, walkers, and coaches of beginning runners & walkers. Certified Running Coaches are invited to SIGN UP for this Project and serve as Clinic Leads & Mentors.
