STARTING TIME (EACH NIGHT): 5:45PM

RACE COURSE: The race course starts near Camellia Drive and Islands Parkway, turns left onto Islands Parkway and heads toward the area of the water park. Then turns right after the water park for an out and back on Pine Cone. After exiting Pine Cone the course does an out and back on Pine Needle located near the campgrounds. After exiting Pine Needle the course heads back down Islands Parkway, right on Camellia Drive, and finally a right into the lot of the Grand Hall Pavilion.

STROLLERS ON THE COURSE: For the safety of all participants, those who choose to push a stroller will only be allowed to walk the course, so no running with a stroller will be allowed. Thank you for your understanding.

RACE TEE: Long Sleeve race tee.

GATE FEE: The $15 gate fee has been lowered to $10.00 for this event and is no longer covered in the registration, so please carpool. This will also keep the lanes entering the Resort moving as fast as possible. All participants who have a Lanier Islands annual gate pass on their windshield will NOT pay the gate fee. Participants can buy a Lanier Islands annual gate pass on raceday (or any day at the gate prior to race time) for $75.00.

REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE: Registration will closed on November 2nd, or earlier if the capacity of 2,100 participants for each night is reached. The Saturday race usually fills by mid-late October, and Sunday’s race usually fills in early November.

STROLLERS: ONLY WALKERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO USE STROLLERS!

RACE BENEFITS: The Marine Corps ‘Toys for Tots’: Bring an unwrapped toy or a check valued at $10.00 or more for entry into a raffle with several great prizes. Another beneficiary of this event is the Hamilton Mill Christian Church's Secret Santa Community Outreach Mission. This mission works with local Children's Homes, school guidance counselors, battered women's shelters, and several other groups to help bring a Christmas to those who are always in the greatest of need.

PRERACE PACKET PICK UP: DAY 1: Thursday, November 7th from 11:00am- 4:00pm at Hamilton Mill Christian Church, 3809 Sardis Church Rd, Buford, GA 30519 DAY 2: Friday, November 8th from 11:00am-4:00pm at Big Peach Running Co., 320 Town Center Ave, Suwanee, GA 30024

RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP: Times: 3:30PM – 5:30PM. After entering the Resort then follow the signs to the parking area. Packet pick up is near the finish line at the Grand Hall Pavilion. JUST FOLLOW THE WELL PLACED SIGNS!

ARRIVAL TIME: We recommend that all registrants arrive at the Resort a minimum of 1 to 1¼ hours before the start of the race at 5:45PM. This is due to the delays that will occur when entering the Resort, delays at the gate when paying the $10.00/vehicle gate fee, parking, race bib & tee pick up, and for a timely start of the races.

CARPOOL, CARPOOL, CARPOOL: Save money by carpooling, and there may be as many as 750 vehicles each night entering the Resort just for this race. So please consider carpooling to reduce a potential back up at the gate. Possible meeting places to carpool: Lanier Islands Community Church: Located about ½ mile from the entrance to the Resort. Publix Shopping Center: Located at I-985 and Lanier Islands Parkway, about 4 miles away from the entrance to the Resort.

DIRECTIONS: The race will be held at Lake Lanier Islands Resort, located at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA 30518. I-85N to Exit 113 I-985N, get off at Exit 8 Lanier Islands Pkwy / Friendship Road and TURN LEFT, and Lake Lanier Islands Resort is 4.5 miles straight ahead. Once in the Resort, please follow the signs and the volunteer’s instructions.

PARKING: Enter the Resort, go over the bridge, and turn to the left at the ‘Clock Tower’ roundabout, and the parking area will be down .3 miles and on the right. Signs will make it easy to locate the parking area, and packet pickup will be located across the main roadway in the lower parking area at the Grand Hall Pavilion.

OPENING CEREMONY: Begins at 5:35PM: Senior pastor Nathan Holmes opening prayer, and Pat Felt’s perfect rendition of the National Anthem. Again, please arrive at the Resort early to allow for gate delays, parking, and race bib / tee pick up delays.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER & STROLLER LIMITATIONS: All participants including children must register for the event. ONLY WALKERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO USE STROLLERS! Participants 4 and under are free, but must remain in their strollers, and keep in mind that free participants will NOT receive a tee or finishers medal.

SUPPORTERS & FAMILY OF PARTICIPANTS: Please stay within the marked areas around the start & finish area during the race. Only registered runners will be allowed on the race course. Enjoy your evening and THANK YOU all for your support and cooperation!
