Event: Hana Relay
TEAM INFO:
ONLY ONE VEHICLE PER TEAM!
Each team should consist of 6 members
Each member MUST run 3 legs of the course (Approximately 2-3 miles a leg).
Teams with less than 6 members will be placed in the Incomplete Division
Race Fee is based per team regardless of the number of runners.
REFUND POLICY:
Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable under all circumstances, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the event or of your participation, or change in the date, nature, or format of the event. Once we receive and accept your entry, the event will not issue a refund if you cannot participate unless another team is found to purchase your team’s entry. We also do not allow entries to be rolled over to another year.
An event may be canceled or changed due to severe weather or other factors that threaten the safety of participants, staff, or volunteers.
EXTREME WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY:
Runners, their families and guests and our volunteers’ safety is our first priority. The Hana Relay will run come rain or shine, with the exception of threatening weather conditions. When conditions present a danger to our runners, their families and our volunteers, Valley Isle Road Runners maintains the right to cancel or postpone the start of each of the events. Such conditions will not result in refunding of any race entry fees or future event credits.
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS:
The Hana Relay may be cancelled if any of the following weather conditions exist: Hurricane Watch or Warning for the island of Maui; Tropical Storm Watch or Warning for the island of Maui; Extreme thunderstorms and lightning in the vicinity of the race, Flash Flood Watch or Warnings in the area of the race.
AUTHORITY TO CANCEL THE EVENT:
Valley Isle Road Runners, in accordance with the City and County of Maui, the State of Hawaii, and local law enforcement, has the authority to cancel the event. If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the events, no refunds will be provided, since funds were already spent in preparation for race day.
HOW WE ARE GOING TO GET THE WORD OUT:
If any event is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the official start time, all participants will be notified via email that you provided in your registration, and the information will be posted on our Facebook page, Twitter and our official race website www.virr.com. If any event is cancelled before 24 hours to the official start time: all participants will be notified via email that you provided in your registration, and the information will be posted on our Facebook page, Twitter and our official race website www.virr.com. We will also send a text to all participants (if you have provided us with your cell number).
