5k Run

Sandpoint 5K — Part of the Sandpoint Marathon Weekend
Saturday, June 4, 2027

Lace up and join us on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille for the Sandpoint 5K, the fastest, friendliest event of Sandpoint Marathon weekend. Whether you're chasing a personal best, walking with friends, or pushing a stroller, this 3.1-mile celebration of running is open to everyone.

The course winds through the heart of downtown Sandpoint and along the waterfront, treating runners to sweeping views of the lake and the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains. Early June brings long days, cool mornings, and the kind of North Idaho scenery that makes every mile feel shorter. The route is flat, fast, and fully supported, with cheering spectators, live music, and aid stations along the way.

Cross the finish line to a festival atmosphere shared with our marathon and half-marathon finishers: local food vendors, craft beverages, family activities, and a finisher's medal for every participant. It's the perfect way to be part of the big race energy without the big race distance.
