Near North's Fall Fun Run is a family-friendly event where participants and patients can engage in accessible and affordable physical activity in the comfort of their community. The routes cover the historic Kenwood , Oakland, and Bronzeville communities on the South side with a beautiful view of the lakefront. The event is donation-based (suggested donation being $20). All profits will go towards supporting our Pacific Garden Mission (PGM) Clinic Days - specifically providing financial support for patients who cannot afford the cost of medication. The overall purpose of the PGM Clinic Days is to provide hands-on collaborative care to homeless patients who are high risk, complex cases. Service options include internal medicine, women’s health, podiatry, nutrition, early intervention services and HIV rapid testing, behavioral health, maternal and child health case management, and in special cases ophthalmology. We also provide health insurance counseling on-site to assist patients with applying for insurance. It is our hope that we can reduce the financial burden on the healthcare system, as well as provide care for people that are discounted and disregarded.
This event is open to ALL! Bring your family and friends!
