What is a Ghost Runner?
A Ghost Runner is a virtual runner in the SLCC 5k.

Who can be a Ghost Runner?
Anyone who wants to support scholarships, but just can’t fit the run into their schedule. Students are not allowed to be Ghost Runners.

How do I sign up to be a Ghost Runner?
Go to solacc.edu/5K and click on Register NOW.

What does it cost to be a Ghost Runner?
The Ghost Runner contribution is $30 which supports SLCC student scholarships.

As a Ghost Runner, will I get the official race-day t-shirt as part of my registration?
Yes, the official race-day t-shirt will be mailed to you. Ghost Runner t-shirts will not be handed out the day of the race.

As a Ghost Runner can I still designate a student for entry into the scholarship drawing at the 5K?
Yes, you can designate a current SLCC student as your entry into the drawing. However, the student must be present to win.

Can an SLCC student be a Ghost Runner?
No, students are not allowed to be Ghost Runners, but they can solicit others to run on their behalf. Ghost Runners can designate a current SLCC student as their entry into the scholarship drawing at the 5K, increasing the student’s chances of winning a race-day scholarship. Students must be present the day of the race to win.

How do I designate a current SLCC student for the race-day scholarship drawing?
When you register by following links from solacc.edu/5K, you will be prompted to enter the current SLCC student’s ID number, also known as the LOLA number. The student will be credited with your entry.
