Mardi Gras Madness 5K

The start of the race is at the Police Jury Parking lot (the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Gill Street). It is a point to point race that coincides with the Mardi Gras Children’s parade route. We are asking everyone to please park at Albertsons on Sale Street and we will bus everyone to the start of the race. There is no charge for the bus. The race starts at 2:30 pm, so they need to be at Albertsons (which is the end of the race in ample time to catch the last bus, which will probably run at about 2:10 pm. Traffic is THICK so we have to allow ample time for the bus to get through.

Registration opens at $40 until Jan 14th. Price increases to $45 on Jan 15th. Online registration closes on Jan 24th. Race day registration will be available for $50 cash or check.

Please note--shirts are only guaranteed to those who register by the 02/18/2022 cut off date.
There is an option to buy an extra shirt. It is not mandatory. Those ages 9 and younger and those aged 65+ get free registration and thus will not receive a free shirt but will have the option to buy one.

Also, there are no refunds, transfers or deferrals allowed on registration fees. This includes weather related issues. Any packets not picked up by the start of the race will be redistributed. Thank you for your understanding.
