Fonseca 5K

The race will start and finish at the Hudson VFW parking lot where all of the participants can park their vehicles. The route will be a clearly marked loop through residential neighborhood streets where minimal traffic is expected. Police details will be present as required per the Hudson PD. Water stations will be set up at the start/finish line and midpoint of the race. A limited number (about 200) of free bracelets and stickers will be available at the sign in tent in the VFW parking lot on a fist come first serve basis. Please stop by the tent upon arrival to sign in and pick up your t-shirt. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the race. Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance online. Participants can sign up the day of the race however the tee shirts have a three week lead time and therefore will not be available.

The first, second and third place finishers will receive a gold, silver and bronze medal upon finishing the race and a picture of the three participants will be taken and added to the Fonseca 5K Facebook page. A timer will be present at the start/finish line for participants interested in tracking their time.

You don't have to be a runner to participate, this is a 5K walk/run that is intended to get people together for a fun event and raise money for a good cause. All are encouraged to come and participate whether you want to compete for a metal or just take your dog for a 3.2 mile walk.

Immediately following the 5K race we invite all participants to join us in a cookout at the VFW where burgers and hotdogs will be served. The VFW will be open to us for most of the day with bathrooms available and a cash bar for refreshment.
