From the start of the race at the Traip Academy in Kittery, Maine, you run over the historic Memorial Bridge into Portsmouth, on your way to Massachusetts along stunning Seacoast roads.
There is also a half marathon option, which starts at Wallis Sands State Park in Rye, NH, and traverses two different states.
