Dog Days of Summer Cool Down Doggie Pool Pawty

Rules
- Only open to dogs – no cats or other animals allowed;
- Dog have an up-to-date shot record;
- Dog must have a current license*;
- Handler must remain onsite at all times;
- Animal must be animal and people friendly;
- Handler must be at least 18 years old;
- Dog must remain leashed at times when not in the waters;
- Handler will be responsible for clean up;
- Dog must be spayed or neutered;
- No outside food allowed in pool area;
- Dog must be at least 10 months old
- Limit One dog per handler.

*License may be obtained through the Detroit Animal Care & Control (DACC) Department by calling (313) 224-6356 before or during the Pool PAWTY.

Waiver & Liability – Agreement
I know that my participation in the Detroit Parks & Recreation Department’s Dog Days of Summer Cool Down Pool PAWTY is potentially a hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not participate unless I am certain my dog is friendly and properly trained.  My signature certifies information provided to be true and I agree to abide by any decision of my participation in this event, including the right of any Detroit Parks & Recreation Department representative to deny my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules and agree to abide by them.  I assume all risks associated with my participation in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand animals not license, not having up-to-date shots and unleashed are not allowed.  Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Detroit Parks & Recreation Department, Dog Days of Summer Cool Down Pool PAWTY event, the City of Detroit, Detroit Animal Care & Control Detroit Dog Rescue, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.  I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
