Classic- 10 Mile Youth

The Classic 10 mile Youth triathlon is a 6 mile Bike, 1 mile Paddle and 3 mile Run triathlon for those 12-17 years old.
The bike portion of the event starts at the Frankfort Open Space and travels along the paved Betsie Valley Trail to the East and South. This is a six (6) mile out & back course so you will traverse the same areas throughout the stage. The course is composed of asphalt pavement & a small amount of wood boardwalk. It is quite flat, with two bridges over the Betsie River and only one road crossing. Due to the out & back format the rules of the road must be strictly followed and all travel must be to the right hand side of the lane. Overtaking will only occur when there is no oncoming traffic. When you return to Frankfort you will be directed toward the transition area to rack your bike in your assigned area.
The paddle portion of the event starts at the Frankfort boat launch and the paddling occurs in the sheltered waters of Betsie Bay. Dependent on the weather conditions and other factors this will be an out and back course, in the event that the course changes from the one shown, notification will occur at the racer meeting on race day. This is a one (01) mile paddle. At the conclusion of the stage you will exit the water at the same location you started and with the assistance of the course workers place your watercraft in your assigned area.

Challenger- 22 Mile

The Challenger 22 mile triathlon is a 14 mile Bike, 2 mile Paddle and 6 mile Run triathlon for those 18+.
The bike portion of the event starts at the Frankfort Open Space and travels along the Betsie Valley Trail to the East and South. This is a fourteen (14) mile course comprised of paved asphalt bike trail and paved County roads. On the course you'll ride along Betsie Bay, the Betsie River and along the South shore of Crystal Lake. The course then brings you back into Frankfort on historic M22. A few quick turns through residential streets in the city and you're back to the transition area where you'll be directed toward the transition area to rack your bike in your assigned area.

Tri Up North- Betsie Bay Walk

The Betsie Bay walk is a non-timed event which starts at the Frankfort Open Space and travels along the Betsie Valley Trail to the East and South. This is a two and a half (2.5) mile out and back course so you will traverse the same areas throughout the walk. The course is composed of asphalt pavement & a small amount of wood boardwalk. It is quite flat, with one bridge over the Betsie River and no road crossings. When you cross over the Betsie Bay River bridge, at the edge of the village of Elberta, you will turn around and head back toward Frankfort and your goal, the Finish Line. As the event is not timed participants are not required to complete the whole course and can turn around at any point if necessary. It's all for fun and Community Wellness!
