Why We Run ROADS 5k & 10K

This is a very flat, fast and kind course! Crushed limestone, so easy on the knees! Beautiful woods surrounds this trail on both sides and parallels the river. It is an out and back, so we remind runners to hug the right side of the path at all times. The trail is also not closed, but is signed for outside trail users to be aware there is an event going on.

Even though this is a "park and ride" lot, it is owned by the DNR and a park sticker will be needed to park at this venue. These are sold the day of if you do not currently have one. Plenty of nearby lots in Ionia and Saranac to car-pool from!

Same as 5k. This is an out an back, extremely flat, fast and forgiving. 50% of this course (beginning and end) is on crushed limestone. The rest is paved asphalt (newly resurfaced!). Race starts at the boat launch at the base of the park and ride, and heads east, just past the back entrance to the fairgrounds.
