Great Lakes Summer Challenge

Join participants from all over the United States and Canada as we virtually cover 2020 miles to touch all five Great Lakes! Running, walking, rolling, biking, swimming, paddling - it doesn't matter how you earn your miles. Log your miles from June 28 - August 9 to help achieve the mileage goal!

Complete the challenge with a 4.2 mile run/walk around Lake Lansing on Sunday, August 9th. This flat course will start/finish at Lake Lansing Park South and will include professional race timing for each participant. Participants can start the race anytime between 7:30-9:30am on August 9th, but there will not be a crowded mass start, and no more than five people will start at a time. The start/finish line will be wide, and the space will be open to allow for proper social distancing.
Reward yourself for your miles with a Great Lakes Summer Challenge Brooks tech t-shirt and a pair of Goodr sunglasses! Participants also receive a chip-timed bib. Packet pick up is on site August 9th, from 7:00-9:30am at Lake Lansing Park South.

Please note: While we plan to run in person, we do reserve the right to change this to a virtual race or provide other alternatives. We will make every attempt to do so by August 1.
