Andy Beardsley Memorial 5K
The Andy Beardsley Memorial 5K, which was renamed after Dick Beardsley’s son who died in 2015, is one of our most special events. Andy was a local to Detroit Lakes who loved the outdoors especially if he was fishing with his dad.
Although he didn’t consider himself a runner, Andy completed a 5K himself, exemplifying the ability to take on a challenge and complete a race. Ready to take on the challenge like Andy?
Our 5K is open to all ages and levels, so don’t sweat it if you’re a new runner. You’ll run (or walk) along Detroit Lake and the beautiful city to cross the finish line! It’s an event you won’t want to miss.
