Promise 5K & Bensky's Race

Held right before the start of the Promise 5K at Robbins Island Regional Park, the Bensky Kids Fun Run is a special event honoring the life of Bensky.

Bensky spent much of his life at Children of the Promise and he impacted the lives of many around him. Although he was unable to walk, he lived a life full of movement, joy, and impact.

After Bensky's passing in 2021, we wanted to create a meaningful way to celebrate the legacy he left behind. This fun run is a reminder that every life has value, purpose, and the ability to make a difference.

We can't wait to see kids running, laughing, and celebrating in honor of a boy who inspired so many. 💙

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or pushing a stroller with coffee in hand, we'd love for you to be part of this special day as we raise funds and awareness for vulnerable children and families in Haiti.

The race will be held at Robbins Island Regional Park in Willmar, MN.
This is an officially timed race and is a part of the Glacial Lakes Running Series.

If you are located outside of the Willmar, MN area, the Virtual Promise 5K is a great option for you! This run/walk can be completed in your own neighborhood, at a local park, or even the treadmill. Share the news with your friends, register for the race, and complete a 5K on your own time!
