Event: 5k Run/Walk
Packet Pickup: The last day to register to recieve your packet prior to race day is May 14th. All registrations after this date will need to pick up their packets at 5:30 on May 20th. Packets can be picked up at Lost & Found Grief Center from 10am to 6pm Thursday May 16th.
Moment of Remembrance: Race awards will begin at roughly 7:30 as most runners finish the race. Immediately following that, we will have a short memorial program.
Memorial Signs: If you ordered a memorial sign, you may view it in the Memorial Garden located in the park. You may take your sign with you on the day of the event or pick it up from Lost & Found Tune into social media for updates from the event.

Race Route: Follow the signs for the memorial walk or signs for the 5k run/walk. There will be cheerleaders and people helping direct the correct path on both routes. Large groups please keep right, and runners please use announced passing.
Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended.
Dogs are allowed but need to be on a leash.
THIS YEAR!! As you line up to begin the race - the word “HOPE” will be outlined on the ground at the beginning of the start line. Please find a place to stand with-in these letters. We will be taking a photo. Thank you to Bee Flight Aerial Services for capturing the moment with their drone!
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: The event will be held rain or shine unless the conditions are unsafe (heavy rains, flooding, lightning, high winds, etc.). We will monitor the weather to determine if there are unsafe conditions and make the decision if any action will be taken to modify the race. This could result in a delayed start time or canceling the race entirely. Should any changes occur, we will post the information on our website and our social media pages. There is NO rain date for the event.

Even if you aren’t a runner, this event is for you! All ages and abilities are welcome on this non-competitive walk. Join us in our 1 Mile Memory Walk where you can walk, talk and share stories of your loved one with others.
