SOS Seaside Scuttle
Family friendly event! Come dressed in your ready-to-run tennies and/or your most SEArious nautical get-up!
The race will entail a loop beginning and ending at War Memorial Park. Initially racers will careen westward on E. 2nd St. to St. Paul Ave., where they will turn south for a block. Racers will turn east on E. Scenic Dr. to Lang Avenue where they will turn north for a block. After one block racers will take their last turn, west on E. 2nd St., and contiue until finishing at War Memorial Park. This is not a certified course
The Student Oceanographic Society at the University of Southern Mississippi is comprised of graduate students from the Division of Marine Science. Our primary aims include: (1) Offering assistance to first year students in the way of regional living information and study help/exam prep. (2) Conduct educational outreach with schools and school children in the area (regarding subjects from all fields of oceanography including biology, chemistry, physics, and geology). (3) Provide professional and career advancement opportunities to all students. (4) Provide social opportunities for students and staff.

SOS Seaside Scuttle - Youth Entry
First, second, and third place awards will be given to racers in the under 18 category. The race is the same time and route as the adult race.
