Skills Clinics for Alpha Members

Not sure how to get over a barrier? What's the proper way to dismount and remount on the bike? How do you carry your bike up a run-up? These are some of the skills we'll work on during these clinics, and we'll answer any questions you may have about this unique sport.

The first two weeks of clinic will be run by Alpha, and the 3rd clinic day will be in conjunction with MTCX. Locations TBD.

Weather dependent. This clinic is designed for new and intermediate riders who want to learn more about riding in a group on the road, including pace line riding, signaling, and communicating in groups. Additional skills may include sprinting, leadouts, and riding in an echelon.

Week 1: Meet at Big Sky Bikes at 5:30 for a 20-25 mile ride total. Meet at Rustic Rd underpass for a 10 mile ride.

These two clinics are for more experienced riders, looking to hone their skills on both technical riding and flow. Location is weather dependent.

This clinic is to help riders get more comfortable on gravel. We'll work on descending positions and around turns, riding in a group, working on sustained climbs, and efficient pedaling for long days in the saddle.

These beginner clinics will get you into the basics of mountain biking, including some cornering, bike positioning, and body awareness. These two beginner clinics are great for beginner riders, and are great skills for everyone to practice and can be a wonderful refresher for more intermediate riders.
