Protect-a-VET Virtual 5K Run
Join Veternation as we strive to Protect- A- Vet!
Here is your chance to get outside and enjoy the great spring weather while helping care for the most vulnerable in our community.
Register for the PROTECT- A- VET Virtual 5K and run, walk, or bike in your favorite park, trail, or neighborhood any time between May 15th and June 1st, 2020.
Where and how you complete your race is up to you.
How do I participate?
• Register for the PROTECT- A- VET Virtual 5K.
• Complete your 5K between May 15th- June 1st, 2020
• Post and share photos on social media: tag us at @veternation_inc (IG), @VeternationInc (FB), and use the hashtag #ProtectAVet2020 #Veternation
• Get your swag! Adult registrations receive a PROTECT-A-VET Virtual 5K t shirt.
By participating in the PROTECT-A-VET Virtual 5K you will be affording TWO (2) homeless veterans receive a Filtered/Unfiltered mask to protect themselves against the COVID-19 pandemic. The economic impact of the current pandemic has resulted in even greater number of people reaching out for help.
Proceeds from registrations and donations to PROTECT-A-VET Virtual 5K will go directly to help meet these needs in the coming weeks and months.
This is the perfect opportunity to spend a little more time in the outdoors. Staying healthy and active is more important than ever. Go for a run. Enjoy a leisurely hike. Take your dog for a walk. Spend some time by yourself or with your family while enjoying some fresh air and make a difference in someone’s life.
Encourage your friends to participate. We’re all in this together.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
REGISTER FOR THE RUN!
Register for the run online: $25 for adults (plus processing fees).
Registration fee includes a commemorative t-shirt for registered adults.
USE ANY GPS-ENABLED WATCH OR MOBILE APP TO TRACK YOUR RUN
There are plenty of running or walking apps that allow you to carry your phone when you participate in your virtual race. These apps enable GPS tracking to keep track of your distance, pace and time!
RUN, WALK, or BIKE!
Decide which day you're going to race from May 15th- June 1st, 2020 (you do not have to complete all in one day).
