Collectively, we (HiToms/Sponsors/Race committee) feel like the heat conditions we are experiencing right now are too severe to host a race this Saturday morning.
The consensus is that we do not have enough medical personnel (availability and finances) along the race route to properly manage a hydration/exhaustion issue.
I know this is a great inconvenience to you and I am truly sorry. However, the HiToms and Novant do not feel comfortable with the health risk that has emerged.
We are going to reschedule the race for this October. Please stay tuned for updated info!
Run from the "World's Largest Chair" located in downtown Thomasville, NC to The HiToms Home Plate located Historic Finch Field. A point to point race, transportation will be provided from the HiToms Stadium to the starting line.
