ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED?
Yes, we love kids! Please start near the back of the pack for everyone's safety.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
No, sorry. While we love dogs too, for the safety and comfort of all runners, dogs are not permitted.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Street parking is available and free.
HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR THE KIDS FUN RUN?
The Kids Fun Run is organized by the Home and School Association, not the First Aid Squad. The HSA has posted a registration link on the school web site. Go to www.avonschool.com and scan the QR code on the flyer to register. Kid's Fun Run is Friday night before the 5K.
WHERE ARE THE POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS?
While you are out having a wonderful race, our team will be setting up tables with water, cups of sports drink, food (typically bagels and fruit) on Ocean Avenue. Please keep walking up Ocean Avenue toward the pool after crossing the finish line.
WHAT'S THIS ABOUT A POST-RACE RAFFLE?
Right after the race, we will draw bib numbers at random, for prizes including 2 season badges to the beautiful Avon beach. No separate ticket required (we use the bib numbers) but you do have to be present to win.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER PRIZES?
We give prize money to the top three finishers, male and female, and the first Avon residents, male and female, to finish.
1st place $100
2nd place $50
3rd place $25
1st Avon resident $25
We also give a trophy to the first finisher in each age group, male and female.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE RESULTS?
Results will be posted on this website (click "Results" on the bottom of the page). Hard copy results will be posted on bulletin boards on the fence of the town pool, on Norwood Avenue.
