Event: 5k Run
Join us for the BookSmiles Run for Literacy 5K, a fun and exciting event that supports BookSmiles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and providing books to underprivileged children in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area!
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, August 25, 2024
- Time: 8:00 AM (Registration opens at 6:45 AM)
- Location: Cooper River Park
- Registration Fee: $35 per person (includes a race T-shirt and finisher's medal with no extra fee)
Race Course:
The 5K (3.1 mile) course will take you along Cooper River in Camden County offering an enjoyable running experience for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Both runners and walkers are welcome! All participants will start at the same time with the runners behind the walkers. This will be marked accordingly.
Schedule of Events:
- 6:45 AM - Registration and packet pickup opens
- 8:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk starts
- 9:00 AM - Awards ceremony and post-race celebration
Awards and Prizes:
- Top 3 overall male and female finishers receive cash prize of $150 for 1st, $100 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd
- Top 3 male and female finishers in each age group receive a medal
Parking:
There is parking all along Cooper River. Feel free to park in any of the lots near the track or the start.
