Jersey Shore Half Marathon and 2 Mile Run

There is a strict three hour course time limit for all entrants.

We must prohibit strollers, head phones, dogs and runners in costumes in the race. Head phones are prohibited for safety, as the course is 2 loops and runners may not hear directions from race staff. Strollers and dogs at a race may be a hazard to runners, children and spectators. Also we discourage runners in costumes as this is a hazard to other runners and a safety issue. We appreciate your compliance and ask for your cooperation!

As the race unfolds, we ask you to stay to your RIGHT and leave the center of the roadway clear for the leaders to come through, as participants will be running in both directions.

Thanks to our partners at the Gateway National Recreation Area, the roads of the USATF certified course are closed to traffic during the race.

10-14 week personalized training program preparing for the 2025 Jersey Shore Half Marathon

Half Marathon training programs includes:
Initial phone consultation with Coach once registered to set up training.
Weekly email with individualized training program for the week.
One in person training session.
Individualized race plan established prior to the event.
Our experienced coaches are more than happy to tailor your training needs, including additional training packages or services through his coaching program for additional fees.

Benefit from an individualized Half Marathon training plan. Set a goal, work hard and succeed with some support! Coach Joe, former Monmouth University XC and T&F Head Coach, is here to serve all ages and abilities! Coach Joe is a veteran coach and Program Director with a demonstrated history of helping athletes train smart and achieve their goal, whether they are competing at an elite level or attempting their first Half Marathon.
Coach Erika Flores is also available again this year. A high-level competitor herself and veteran coach, she has expertly guided athletes from beginners to high level competitors to excel at the Jersey Shore Half Marathon and many other events.

This is a fun way to do a shorter race on the same course as the Half Marathon. 2 milers will start at 9:05 and do a flat, fast out and back course. All entrants will receive the same custom race shirt as Half Marathon entrants and other items from our sponsors. The top 3 male and female finishers will receive special gift cards from our sponsors.

Wheelchair athletes and racewalkers will start just before the Half Marathon runners, but will come across all those in the race as this is a 2-loop course. The course is entirely on paved roads.
We have a 3-hour time limit on the course for all competitors.

Participants who are not able to join us in person may run the 13.1 distance on their own and submit their results, either on Saturday 10/4 or on Sunday morning 10/5. To be included in the results, participants must send us their time before the end of the day on 10/5. Virtual racers are not eligible for overall or age group awards, but WILL receive their shirt, finisher medal and other giveaway items by mail after the race.
