Stair Climb
The morning begins with an opening ceremony featuring guest speakers, the National Anthem, and a safety briefing before the climb officially starts. Throughout the event, we will pause for four moments of silence at the exact times that forever changed our nation:
8:46 AM – American Airlines Flight 11 strikes the North Tower
9:03 AM – United Airlines Flight 175 strikes the South Tower
9:37 AM – American Airlines Flight 77 strikes the Pentagon
10:03 AM – United Airlines Flight 93 crashes near Shanksville, Pennsylvania

Event details:
- Time: Friday, Sept. 11, gates open at 7:30 a.m.
- Location: Citi Field, 41 Seaver Wy, Flushing, NY 11368
- Entrance: Enter through the Seaver Entrance
- Parking: There will be free parking before 8:00 a.m. on-site during the Stair Climb. Participants arriving after 8:00 a.m. will need to pay a parking fee due to events later in the day. Enter the parking lot via Gate 8, you will be directed to park in the Orange Reserved Parking area.
- Bag Policy: Rucks and weighted vests are permitted for the Stair Climb. All bags and hand-carried items are searched prior to entry. Items can be no larger than 16"x16"x8". There are no bag check facilities inside Citi Field.
- Food & Beverage Policy: Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside Citi Field. Participants may bring a reusable water bottle. There will be a small number of water fill stations available.
- Service Animal Policy: A service animal is a working animal, not a pet. Service animals are permitted at Citi Field. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as any dog, such as a guide dog or signal dog that is individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. This includes psychiatric service animals that are individually trained to provide service to individuals with psychiatric or neurological disabilities, such as preventing or interrupting impulsive or destructive behaviors. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered at all times, unless special circumstances exist, and will be required to rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and employees, or whose animal is not housebroken, may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.
- Prohibited Items: The following items are not allowed inside Citi Field: commercial audio/visual equipment; laser pointers; noisemaking devices; fireworks; drones; animals (except for service animals); and weapons. Firefighters are allowed to wear their full uniform and/or gear.
