WHERE: Westchester Road Runner, 179 E. Post Rd., White Plains, NY 10601
The plan at present is such. We get on the bus and all drink Guinness rather than go to Brooklyn since it's St. Patrick's Day. Everybody is Irish today so it's beer and potatoes all around. (If that insults you, drink another pint. Keep drinking until you have a sense of humor.)
For those of you that have some ulterior motive like running some silly race instead of imbibing in the elixir of the gods, we will head to Brooklyn to the Grand Army Plaza. We will get you as close to the entrance to the park as we can where all wave 1 runners will disperse.
Once we got rid of those Wave 1 punks, we find a spot to sit with the bus for the later wave people to be able to stay warm and cozy, watch the various runners leaving the subway, laugh and mock them for not having a bus. People can leave as they so choose to make their wave.
However, by 8AM, the buses must be emptied and you got to get to stepping to the start line.
As more info comes out, we will make any alterations necessary but regardless of any changes that may need to be made, we will get you to the start with joy and mostly in one piece.
We are basing these times and stops by the way it worked last year, but as NYRR releases more secret clues to how everything works, we will update everyone.
There is a bathroom on the bus.
Unfortunately, we will not be offering a return trip, so that means we cannot have anything left on the bus. The bus transforms into a small unicorn upon dropping everyone off and we can't get in the way of that.
There is no street parking until 6am on any street in White Plains on Sundays so if you plan to leave your car, you will have to pull into the Lyon Place garage which is around the corner from the store and pay for enough parking until your return. You run the risk of a ticket from the WP Parking hooligans if you leave your car in street parking after we leave.
These tickets are non-refundable. So make this choice while sober and upright and before midnight (because nothing good happens after midnight) but if you want to transfer it to someone else, just call us and let us know so we can keep a record of who should be on the bus.
