Event: 5K Run
You can't beat the scenery along Willow Trail in Akron's Firestone Metro Park and the views of the Tuscarawas River and Little Turtle Pond along the path. The trail race and fun walk begin at the Tuscarawas Shelter 2620 Harrington Rd., Akron, 44319, where the course takes runners and walkers through some of the most beautiful wild gardens, the perimeter of fields and up and down gentle trail hills along the river's bank and across the pond. In the 5K Run awards are given to the top three men & women overall (Gift Cards for $40 First place, $25 Second Place and $15 Third place) and the top three men & women in each of the following age groups: 10& under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over.
