The 5K Ruck doesn’t have any specific weight or gear requirements. Just bring a ruck or backpack with whatever you’d like to carry and enjoy the event. It’s meant to be fun and inclusive, so whether you go light or heavy, you’re welcome to join in.

Echo Race (Satellite)
Echo Race (Satellite Option) – James E Reyher Man of Honor 5k
The Echo Race is a satellite version of the James E. Reyher Man of Honor 5K, created for deployed units, commands, and larger groups who want to participate together from their location. Whether on base, overseas, or in another state, you can host your own group 5K that echoes the main event in Caldwell, OH.
As a host group, you’ll:
- Organize your unit, detachment, or team to complete the 5K together.
- Receive official race packets (shirts, medals, and swag) to distribute locally.
- Be featured as part of the global James E Reyher Man of Honor 5k community, with your group’s photos, videos, and results highlighted in our recap.
- This option is designed for commands and groups.
(If you’re an individual runner who can’t make the in-person event, please register under the Virtual Race category instead.)
The Echo Race is a satellite version of the James E. Reyher Man of Honor 5K, created for deployed units, commands, and larger groups who want to participate together from their location.
